Computer Basics Class for Adults this Summer @ Long Hill Library


Are you new to computers? Need help mousing around or getting an email address? Maybe you've got a laptop and have questions about file management, anti-virus software or internet radio! You're in luck.

Local resident Tom Kehoe is teaching a series of free classes for computer beginners at the Long Hill Library this summer. The classes meet every Tuesday, beginning on July 10 and running until August 14, from 10:30 am til noon. 

The course covers introduction to computers, the internet, email, social media, files & folders, backup & security, software review, and phones, photos, music & video. Please bring your laptop if you have one. 

Tom, a retired professor, has many years of teaching experience at Union County College. In his spare time, Tom often provides computer services to authors preparing manuscripts for publication. Non-beginners with questions about computers are also welcome.

Long Hill Library Summer Reading Club Kick-off Party

Long Hill Library will start it's annual Summer Reading Club Saturday, June 23rd at it's kick-off party between 11 am -1 pm. Entertainment will include children's crafts, refreshments, professional face painting and strolling juggler, Jen Slaw. At the party, Long Hill children, teens and their parents can all sign up to join the Summer Reading Program where you win prizes throughout the summer as you read.

Tutti a Tavola is Italian for Come to the Table!
 
Join us for an "Out of the Classroom" Community Event offered by WHREA Professoressa Patti Grunther. Patti teaches Italian at WHRHS.

Patti will discuss the ties that bind Italian food and Italian culture through stories from more than twenty years of living in Italy. Learn the truth about spaghetti and meatballs, Pasta Alfredo and a variety of culinary and cultural facts and myths.
 
Tasty Italian treats will be served.
