World Wide Knit in Public Day @ Long Hill Library

Celebrate World Wide Knit in Public Day
 Sat, June 15 -  Noon & 2pm

Every summer, knitters in Long Hill Township gather at the Long Hill Library on a June Saturday to commemorate World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP).
World Wide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 and began as a way for knitters to come together and enjoy each other's company. Since many knitters knit at home,  WWKIP Day is a day to get out of your house and go to a local event with your knitting in tow.  Who knows who you might  bump into!
The Gates Avenue Knitters, who meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Long Hill Library, are meeting to knit, socialize and have fun for Knit in Public Day.
You're invited to join them at the Long Hill Township Library this Saturday, June 15, between noon and 2pm.  New knitters are always welcome and beginners will be taught! So grab a lawn chair, your yarn and needles, and join us for  lots of fun & laughter on WWKIP Day!

Learn to Juggle at the Long Hill Library

World Juggling Day is Saturday, June 15! Learn to Juggle!
The Long Hill Library is celebrating World Juggling Day to help spread the fun of juggling!
Are you between the ages of 12 and 112? Then please join us on Sat, June 15, from 11:30 to 1:30.
Juggling enthusiast Dennis Soldati will teach us how to juggle!
Dennis, a Long Hill Township resident, was president of the International Jugglers' Association and was the organization's national historian for five years.
In the past 40 years, he has literally taught hundreds of people to juggle, and has performed as a juggler and "heavyweight" juggler. His activities in juggling are included in an article about him in the book, " Book of Buffs, Masters, Mavens and other Uncommon Experts", from World Almanac Publications.
