Worldwide Knit in Public Day at Long Hill Township Library
Saturday, June 11th, marked the third annual celebration of Worldwide Knit in Public day at Long Hill Township Library, and 22 knitters came to the library to knit in public and enjoy each other's company. Worldwide Knit in Public Day was begun in 2005 as a way to encourage knitters to celebrate and share their enjoyment of needlecraft. Long Hill Township is fortunate to have a very active knitter's group, the Gates Avenue Knitters, who meet at the library on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (at 7 pm). People of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join the Gates Avenue Knitters for knitting, purling and great conversation! To find out more about the Knitters, email director@longhilllibrary.org.
